This was a project (below) we took from 1175 square feet to 2000, while completely remodeling the entire home, inside and out.

We would love to work with you to make your home beautiful.

Below: This is a typical home located in SoCal. The owners bought it with plans to expand its size and improve its look. It's not in bad condition here, but it definately needs updating. Let's see what happens.

Below: The yard is built back up and the exterior is replaced. There is still a good amount of work to be done, but you can see it's shaping up wonderfully. Notice the arch added over the garage to tie the look together, adding a nice touch of class.

Below: This was an old bathroom that needed everything replaced. It was completely gutted. A remarkable transformation.

Below: This was simply a wall wherein we altered it to gain room for a built-in China Cabinet. The arch conforms to the Mediterranean style of the home.

Norvell Construction can customize the space in your home to it's utmost potential. We all know CA is crowded and running out of land. Plus, most of us are forced to keep the home we have as it would be too costly to sell and relocate. That is where Norvell Construction comes in. We can improve your home, making it the home you've always wanted. Give us a call, we can discuss your home's options.

NC can save you money in a number of ways, because of our 4th Generation experience. We know how and where to trim the pork. One exampe: Our talented and skilled draftsman who used to do designs for Disney. Dennis can assist you with your plans and drawings and save you money over a pricey architect. However, if you feel you need a high-powered architect, we can provide that instead.

Below: This dining room used to be the home's living room. Very small - very sad. We took out the rear wall of the house and added a new family room (see photo to right) allowing for a good-size dining room.

Below: Newly added Master Bedroom creates a serene and restful atmosphere to close out a hard day's work. Raised ceiling to the max, considering available space in roof, something that only a framing specialist would know how to do.

Remember, home additions and remodeling of this magnitude are considered major construction. Your home will likely be turned upside down. It's best if you have alternative accomodations during the construction process. If that is not possible, we will work something out to assist you with the challenge. Either way, we will do everything possible to keep your house neat and clean. We utilize several tricks of the trade to accomplish this, more than many other contractors. It's the 4th Generation experience we bring with us to every project. After all is complete and your new home is delivered, you will not believe the difference and the comfort a "new home" will provide. It is quite satisfying and rewarding .

Below: Here we have just begun to take down this kitchen. Upper cabinets are removed. Take a close look. You will see, just next door, that every part of this kitchen was replaced, happily. Once you start putting in new fixtures and improving appearances one thing leads to another. Yes, you can certainly change only part of the room, but often you'll find that it looks so good you want to do it all. This client is thrilled with her new work area. A woman's paradise.

Below: They started with installing a much needed sprinkler system. Their intentions were to improve the landscaping, but without the water to maintain it, what's the point, right?

Below: They wanted a Spanish/Mediterranean look, but that gets a little pricey. We used good quality architectural shingles for the roof, in just the right color, and added a custom tile trim to capture this impressive look for them, with significant savings in their pocket!

This beautiful look could be yours, or something else!

Below: The bathroom cried for a pedestal sink, but also needed space for towels & storage. We found the best of both in this sink with a shelf and bottom drawer. It still gets the look, but includes the requested essentials.

Below: Interior lighting accentuates china and glassware. Drawers and additional cabinets below for silverware and linens makes table setting a pleasure.

Below: A very convenient and handy service area for the entertainer. Base cabinets house various supplies. Overhead stores drinkware and cookbooks and is a message center to boot.

Below: This is a newly added family room. The house ended at the dining room, where the dining and family rooms meet. So the family room is a completely new addition, adding square footage. The room has several windows, providing lots of light. Don raised the ceiling as high as the roof trusses would allow, something a less experienced builder and framer may not know how to do. It provides a beautifully higher ceiling with exposed beams. The entire design, including the oversize fireplace, gives the room-addition ambiance and warmth.

Below: Newly added Master Bathroom with all the amenities of luxury: Granite, Italian tile, whirlpool tub, separate shower, built-in medicine cabinet (making best use of space), and more.

Again, making best use of space, the custom shower is the perfect size to accomplish the job, yet leave room for the desired luxuries that encompass it.

Master Shower: making best use of space

Below: Where do I begin? The granite counter tops, a special Russian Vulga Blue, with iridescent silver and blue and shades of green and gray, are spectacular. The stainless steel appliances tie together the Russian silver and the stainless steel sink fixtures. Even the mahogany cabinets are noted with the same silver knobs and pulls. The sink works hard for its owners donning pump soap, instant hot water and high-filtered cool water dispensers. The dishwasher has timed delay and multi-adjustable racks and bins.

The center island has an enormous amount of storage throughout its interior and also houses two trash bins: regular and recyclable.

The sealed gas stove boasts five burners, including one center unit with a griddle option and four with power burners. The lower double oven has an optional convection and three racks in the upper unit and a warming drawer with option for baking in the lower unit. The microwave oven also has a warm/hold feature and can be used as a microwave, convection or speed-convection oven. When all is said and done, this kitchen utilizes three ovens, two of which are convection.

It has imported Italian tile on the floor and a handy built-in laundry room right close by: Multi-tasking ladies -Yes.

Huge walk-in pantry and an additional large floor-to-ceiling wall pantry. Storage is unreal!

Tons of drawer space, specialized cabinetry for cutting boards and cookie sheets, a corner Lazy Susan of shelves.

I could go on and on. Suffice it to say: Norvell Construction makes not just your kitchen but your entire home special. Very Special.
